Welcome to the inaugural publication of The Wicked Journal! We are so pleased and proud to showcase the excellent writing that we have collected thus far. The collected essays depict a range of human experiences from the intimate to the global, and much thoughtful discussion of our place in the animal world and our relationships with others. We wish to thank the contributors for their courage in submitting their work, and commend them for their efforts in bringing six very diverse topics to life. You are very much appreciated. The editorial team at the Wicked Academic are always on the search for new material. You may be a student who has completed a piece of writing of which you are proud and want to publish, or you may be a teacher who believes that their students need to be recognized for hard work, diligence and creativity both within the classroom and without. Publication in our Journal gives a boost of confidence and a sense of interconnectedness. Sharing our research and writing is one of the most rewarding aspects of academic life, and we are happy to be part of that. So, don’t be shy! We eagerly await your submissions!
