Please keep in mind that the following two (2) documents are for a very particular type of writing. They should NOT be used by an English or Humanities teacher, for example, who is asking their students for a basic research paper. Teachers and students who would benefit from these documents include but is not necessarily limited to anyone teaching an Introduction to Methodology or an experimental psychology class. In short, it is the type of report you write when sending an empirically based article to a peer reviewed scientific journal for publication. The title page, for example, of a basic research paper (for an English or Humanities class) would include information like the name of the course, name of the instructor, the due date, etc. You will notice that all of this is absent on a lab report title page. A lab report is not written as if the intended audience was the teacher. It is written as if the intended audience are the editors of the journal (and hopefully the readers of the journal if accepted…). The following two lab reports conform with the latest APA 6th edition set of rules. Feel free to use the documents, however, my name is on the title page of both documents, so as long as you keep the documents intact the credit owed to the author will be there in perpetuity.
